I received the email promo below from Jumeirah Essex House – I like their property on Central Park South in NYC; good location, typically good staff, overall an OK experience.  In reviewing the email below, it appears that for minimal investments, they’re enticing me to upgrade my hospitality experience.  A mentor once told me that the "answer is always no, if you don’t ask,"  Traveling as much as we all do, you want any and all of the logistics to be as painless as possible.

Questions for you:

1. What do you think about these promo campaigns?  Do they work for you?  What has to happen for you to take them up on it?

2. How are you offering "Experience Upgrades" in the manner in which people work with you?

I’m convinced more than ever that every interaction is an opportunity to learn more about the relationships we engage (and choose to invest in).  As such, providing people you engage with options – not just more of the same, but deeper value-add is essential.
